Gingerbread Nuremberg Style

German: Lebkuchen nach Nürnberger Rezeptur

  1. Do you feel it? - That's Christmas!

  2. Chopp the candied peel carefully
  3. Whisk Eggs and sugar untill thick and fluffy
  4. Add all the nutmeg, mace, cinnamon, cloves and the bitter almond oil
  5. Mix in the chooped candied peel and all the almonds

  6. Line baking sheet with baking paper
  7. Drop by teaspoon on baking sheet
  8. Put into the cold oven on middle shelf, switch on the oven, 350F (325 fan assisted)
  9. Remove cookies on baking paper from baking sheets

  10. Mix powdered sugar with lukewarm milk
  11. Spread mix onto the still warm gingerbread cookies
  12. Store in a tin and enjoy the full flavor after just a week
